CHARLIE SLAN

CREATOR + EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
Charlie is the Co-Creator and Co-Editor-in-Chief of Saturdaze Magazine. She is currently a high school junior from Los Angeles and is working as an intern for Narrative PR . She plans to work in business or perhaps the magazine industry after college. She started Saturdaze as a platform for young creatives to express themselves wholeheartedly- no limitations, but it turned into much more once she realized she had found a community of intensely talented people around her. When she’s not working on the magazine, you’ll find her writing, thrifting at various LA stores, eating sushi with her friends, and watching foreign films. She’s really looking forward to traveling: Japan & Italy are at the top of her list! Her perfect day would include watching the sunset at the beach with her best friend, Allana <3
ALLANA CAMPBELL

Allana is a 17 year old junior in high school from Los Angeles, California. She’s proudly the Co-Creator and Co-Editor-in-Chief of Saturdaze Magazine! Allana is passionate about the arts, and is looking forward to combining her creativity and her love for academics in her future career. She focuses all of her intense Capricorn energy into her school’s Academic Decathlon team and competitive rowing. She spends her days listening to Still Woozy, reading philosophy books, and being an inflexible yogi. Allana made Saturdaze with her childhood best friend, Charlie (see left hehe). She wanted to build a space for creatives like herself to collaborate and inspire one another. She loves her Saturdaze family and all of the beautiful individuals she has met on the way!

DISNEY BAGWELL

MANAGING EDITOR
Disney Bagwell is an 18-year-old creative studying graphic design at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Besides working with Charlie and Allana as the Managing Editor of Saturdaze, she spends her free time doing all things art, thrifting, cooking vegan meals with her boyfriend, and making jewelry. As a Leo, it shouldn't be a surprise that Disney loves meeting new people, which is one of her favorite parts of being on the magazine team. Working through Saturdaze Disney has met so many great and inspiring people, and made many friendships along the way. Throughout her whole life, she has had a love for expressing herself through multiple art forms and has been featured in multiple art exhibits and shows in her hometown. After graduation, she plans to move to California and pursue a career in either the fashion or music industry as a graphic designer.

LIZZIE POTTS

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Lizzie Potts is an 18-year-old creative from Austin, Texas who will be attending Parsons School of Design in New York City this fall. She enjoys spending her time sewing, knitting and finding local vintage shops wherever she travels. Lizzie, a proud Capricorn, is a big fan of watching horror movies at 2am with a big bowl of chunky fudge dark chocolate ice cream, and is avidly redecorating her cluttered room. She frequently blasts any song by Gus Dapperton with windows rolled down in her beloved light blue VW bug covered in bumper stickers and string lights. Lizzies end goal is to live in a beach bungalow in Europe where she can happily sip her matcha tea and shed light on unique individuals and their creative work.

KATIE VITA

Meet Katie Vita, a first-year student at Parsons School of Design studying Photography. She started her creative journey making fashion YouTube videos and then became interested in portrait photography. Along with photography, Katie loves to design in Photoshop and experiment with graphic styles. She also is getting in astrology! Her Big 3 includes a libra sun, capricorn moon, and cancer rising !

ASHLEY TWU

CONSULTANT
Ashley Twu is 16 years old from the Bay Area and goes to Monta Vista High School. In addition to being a consultant, Ashley enjoys being involved in medicine, public health, and gives back to her community through philanthropic work with the National Charity League. She’s passionate about good music, coffee, and scenic views, which she spends a large portion of her time searching for with her friends.

ATHENA MERRY

Athena is 19 and is currently studying at Columbia College Chicago. After college, she wants to continue photography and make it into a career. Athena is addicted to coffee, dying her hair, and buying vinyl fabric to use in photos. Something unique about her is that quarantine has allowed her to watch movies again and again, which has taught her a lot about visual art + camera work.

Myla Jacobs is 20 years old. She is from Colchester, Vermont. Myla is attending Castleton University and currently majoring in Art History. She hopes to go to art school and pursue a career in Fashion/Editorial Photography. She loves to listen to music and read in her free time!

Kyrie is a 17-year-old from So-Cal with a passion for editorial writing and portrait photography. She spends her free time journaling, songwriting, and piecing her life together through collages. When she’s not redecorating her room for the 16th time, she enjoys analyzing films (the color theory of La La Land is her favorite!) and plant shopping with friends. She hopes to attend college as a communication major and pursue art throughout college.

She is hugely fascinated by both people and the human experience, a concept which she attempts to decipher in her writing. Kennedy Kelís is a 16 year old writer from Atlanta, Georgia. She is dedicated to activism, kindness, and creativity, and she loves to share these things with the world. In her free time, Kennedy enjoys educating herself and others, watching horror movies, and searching for the next best story to tell. She is also in love with a woodland creature by the name of Hozier, and when she isn’t creating something, you can surely find her listening to Wasteland, Baby! on repeat.

ELIZABETH TRAIN BROWN

Beth is a 20-year-old award-winning journalist and writer from Lincoln, England. She studies English Literature and Creative Writing at Lancaster University. In her spare time, Beth works as a part-time model and became Deputy Editor & Marketing Director of the modeling magazine, MPN, last summer. She is a Pagan, LGBTQ+ activist, feminist, and loves to travel the world. Before writing, Beth began in the circus as a fire-breather and diabolist, with her family, performing before crowds across the East Midlands. She has since trained as a juggler, plate spinner, and pole dancer.

Emma Hodgins is a teenage creative from New Jersey, currently in a love triangle with both psychology and creative writing. She is a classic, self-described enneagram four with boatloads of passion for the arts. Although her medium of choice shifts daily, she always gravitates back to writing. Frequently found sipping homemade chai tea or analyzing her friends’ birth charts, Emma has an affinity for finding beauty in the mundane.

Sadia self describes herself as a “woman of pop-culture”. She loves writing and critiquing it through a feminist lens. When she’s not enacting a scene from a movie/series, she’s definitely breaking down Nicki Minaj’s whole discography. On a normal day, you can find her learning about the proletariat struggle while listening to Toshifumi Hinata on repeat.

Gracie Nordgren is a nineteen-year-old student from Boulder Colorado. She adores daydreaming and pomegranates. She is currently working on acquiring her bachelor’s in English, with an emphasis on creative writing. Her work has appeared previously in Kalopsia Literary Magazine, Outlander Magazine, Soultalk Magazine, and South Broadway Ghost Society.
